Craziness is the key to my life!

As I woke up today at my usual time, forcing myself to open my eyes, the smell of coffee filled my body with the energy to get out of my warm, comfy bed that I did not want to leave. I dressed for work, gathered my thoughts and things to head for the back door. As I approach the door, I realized that there was snow everywhere and that I was snowed in. Great, so I made my way out to my car, trampling through snow drifts to get to my car that was covered in snow and ice. As I started to scrape my car, I realized the delicate beauty of a winter morning. Yes, the wind may have been blowing, but it was simply beautiful. It is the little moments in life that we tend to let slip by us that are the mostwonderful.

As I climbed into my car, I proceeded to back up...not to my surprise I became stuck (go figure). So I shoveled my way out and proceeded to the station.

When I got there, it was madness, which intrigued me a little. I had closings to announce, RFD's to get up on the radio, news to produce, and a story to cut and get on the air. Needless to say I was literally running around answering phones, and doing the news thing...Ya, I am that cool!

All in all, the morning was great, and I am looking forward to many more crazy mornings. Life is simply perfect <3

Random, but what the hey, it's my life!

So, it has been a few months since I have decided to write a blog post. Why has it been so long? Hell, I do not know, but all I know is I need to do this more!

So, here it goes...I have not been on here in a while to dicuss my life, thoughts, and my new found love for slow louis(which is the CUTEST little exotic animal you will ever see), so I will proceed to catch all you up on my life as it is now.

So lets see...I have just recently started a job at a radio station where I am the new "News Anchor: in the mornings, along with being an account executive, which is a fancy term for I sell shit to people. It is a fun job, and it is a process which I am having an easy time learning. Waking up at 5 a.m. is not always the funnest thing to do, but hey, it pays the bills, and it is something I have a blast doing! So, no complaints here! I would say life is looking up!

Now on to my thoughts. In the past few months I have learned a great deal about myself that I never known. I have figured out that I am more of a fighter than I thought. Not a fighter as in fights, but a fighter as in standing up for me! I have overcome some pretty hard obstacles, and that is simply brilliant. I have told off a past ghost, who has haunted me for atleast two years ( one of the worst mistakes of 2011, hands down). I have stood up for who I am, and have not let people take advantage of the kind hearted person I am. I have also forgiven myself for the new me who formed into someone who was not what she wanted to be(hope that makes sense). I am finally back to the old me, with a slight twist of edge. Yaaaa!

Depressing, but I wrote it!

I was thinking about past poems I have written today, and I thought I would share one with the blogging crowd that I find to be one of my best works:

When I Die and fade away

Fall is for lovers!

Today is another beautiful day! The sun is shining, the leaves are turning that golden red and brown that indicate another beautiful fall is on its way. The wind blows through the trees, and creates a sound that is so soothing a baby could fall asleep to it. It also brings a suttle change, a feeling in the air that I like to call love.

Now call me a romantic...hell, maybe even a hopeless romantic, but everything about this time of year make me smile from ear to ear! The fall festivals, hay rides, pumpkins, long hikes through the woods and covered bridges these are the things that help to make it romantic! Another favorite of mine is those canoe rides down a river with the leave falling ever so lightly on top of the water. I just love to watch the way they dance with the ripples as they float away. It is simply amazing!!!

Who am I?.....No, really!

Who am I?
Isn't this a question we all ask ourselves?

Well, at some point in time we do and we have to figure out this mystery.
Right now, I am at a point in my life where I am figuring out the changes I am taking, and the things I am doing. To start out, I am Cristin Prince and I am nothing but a little country bumpkin. Yes, I said country bumpkin. I live in a small town, have a good family, and a decent job. I just graduated from Eastern Illinois University with not one, but TWO degrees in Public Relations and Mass Communication. What they hell I am going to do to with those, I am still not sure!

I have a few good friends that I can call "besties" as a term to be used in this case. They live everywhere and anywhere, but no where near me...go figure! So, what do I do in my spare time without them...well drink a Budweiser of course!! Ohhh, or a tall Jim and Coke, or a Blue Moon, or a Newcastle.....alright, I am not a lush...I just like my drinks! If you have any problems with that then you are reading the wrong blog! lol

Anyways, from what you know so far, I am a college graduate with a drinking problem. That is common, right?

Some interests of mine are to hike, camp, jog, sing in the shower, dance, watch old 1940's movies, eat a lot of food, drink (go figure) andddddd smile =)

I am a lover by nature, but a fighter if you make me mad. I am a restless person, and can not sit still for my then...hmm a minute! I Love heights, cities, cheese, hippies, love, punk music, and the occasional smell of a good cigar. Tomato Basil chips are delicious, and I find most comedians not funny. The funniest things happen when not planned.

I make sure to pray, and let Jesus know I care, as I am a christian, but a better one I could be. I have faith and trust in something up above, and I believe Elvis is NOT dead!  Joking =)

All in all, I am weird, funky, cool, smart, clutsy, and a lover. I am a fighter sometimes and a drunk always.
